Adobe Premiere Pro

As an avid Adobe Premiere Pro user, I was really excited to see them rolling out some impressive AI features recently. Here are a couple of my favorites:

Plus, you’ll find a wide range of customizable branding templates, which you can easily tweak with its user-friendly Canva-style interface. I can’t think of another tool that makes maintaining brand consistency as simple as this one. 

DaVinci Resolve

Like Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve has integrated some impressive AI tools over the years, making it a strong contender in the video editing world. One of the coolest new features is the facial recognition tool, which lets you group clips based on who appears in them. 

Just right-click on “Analyze Clips for People,” and the software will scan and sort your footage accordingly. You just enter your script into a text box, select a few images, and the platform does the rest, generating a video based on your input. Yup, pretty wild! And the best part? It’s free to get started, making it a great option for beginners!

Runway

Runway has become a popular tool for creating visual art and cool AI tools for video editing, though I wouldn’t recommend it for total beginners. Even as someone who’s familiar with editing software, it can feel a bit much to handle. 

That said, their AI video generator is pretty straightforward. Just type in a prompt like "a bustling city street at sunset," and it’ll whip up a video for you. The imagery isn’t always spot-on, but it’s great for sparking ideas and getting inspiration for your real-life shots.

Descript

Descript offers a bunch of AI tools, and one of my favorites is the transcript generator. You can upload a video of yourself talking, and it’ll transcribe it for you. I was pleasantly surprised by how accurate it was. 

If there are any mistakes, no worries! You can easily make quick edits to the text. Overall, it’s a great option for beginners looking to edit quick, one-off videos without much hassle.

If you’ve been looking for solid cross-platform video editing software, Wondershare Filmora is a great pick. They offer a range of AI tools, but one that really stands out to me is the AI Frame Interpolation, which enhances the visuals of your clips while keeping the quality intact.
